An interesting teamsheet.....

Should we be wary of inviting the Dalai Lama to bless the pitch when the Tibetan Leader addresses the Buddhist community in a lecture to be held at the Recreation Ground in June.

Richard Petty, associate director of Aldershot Town, told The Sun recently that he hoped the blessing would give us ‘divine assistance for next season’.

But of course the Shots will not be the first team to turn to the spiritual in their attempt to succeed….

Glenn Hoddle appointed Eileen Drewery ( a faith healer) as adviser to the England team during the 1998 World Cup in France.

Now what did happen next? Did we win the World Cup?

Glenn was sacked in February 1999 after suggesting, in an interview with The Times, that disabled people were being punished for sins in their past lives?

Just keep playing two up front Dean (Holdsworth) and we will be just fine…..
