Potted Shrimps

Potted shrimps are a traditional Lancastrian dish made with brown shrimp and flavoured with mace…... which has set in a small pot.

Potted shrimp was a favourite dish of Ian Fleming who passed on his love of the delicacy to his famous fictional creation James Bond. Fleming reputedly used to eat the dish at Scotts Restaurant on Mount Street in London where it is still served to this day.

It’s a pretty disgusting dish served on bread…..

If you are interested in Southend United I can highly recommend 'Potted Shrimps - Southend United Encyclopaedia and History Update 1992 to 1999'…. the history and achievements of the club are truly breathtaking.

Southend United 0 v 1 Aldershot Town……the Shots win again.
