''Number one Aldershot Town will play number twelve….Manchester United.''
You could hear the cheer breaking out from the Crawley Town team bus 10 miles away.
After the superb win over Rochdale in the third round, a home draw against the biggest club in the world was of course fantastic......unfortunately with kick off no more than two hours away Dean Holdsworth had insufficient time to restore factory settings and get the Shots focussed on the Crawley challenge.
And Crawley Town didn’t disappoint…they were organised, strong and thoroughly annoying. Steve Evans was fat and at the end of a turgid affair, very happy with his team’s deserved 1v0 victory…..
I just hope we can forget the upcoming ‘big night’ when we take on Accrington this Saturday…..
